Medical Assistant

Irvine, CA

DAYS 5x8; Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm

12 Weeks Contract (possibility of extension)

$20-$22 per hour (negotiable)

*Job Description*
* The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians.
* The MA will assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements.
* Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
* Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’.
* Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates.
* LOA coverage, with possible extension depending on need.
* Back Office Medical Assistant supporting OBGYN site.

*Requirements*
* Minimum one (1) year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.

* Medical Assistant

*Education*
* Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent; Graduate of Medical Assistant program or one-year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
* Preferred Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field.
