Mission-Critical Software Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Mission-Critical Software Engineer, you'll play a vital role in creating and maintaining the software systems that enable our missions to succeed.
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a SpaceX Systems Reliability Specialist. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing reliable and scalable software systems that meet the needs of our rapidly growing organization.
The Data-Driven Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our data-driven systems. This includes designing and implementing data pipelines, monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience building software with site reliability or DevOps
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Programming experience in Python, C#, Java, Scala, Go, or similar languages
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of rigorous experience with site reliability or DevOps for web applications
- Experience with in-stream, big data processing and analytics using Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, SQL, or similar
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, e.g. HBase, Hive, Delta Lake, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, or similar
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
