Business Development Manager

To deliver on the strategic goals and objectives of PSECU by developing business opportunities, educational channels, and public relations avenues that supports all of our current and potential member groups. To acquire new member groups; increase membership in established member groups; promote product awareness and usage; and explore new avenues to positively affect PSECU's bottom line through interactions with PSECU membership, community and corporate contacts. To use established tools, such as HubSpot database; Outlook calendar and marketing folder, to plan and organize strategic growth of territory. To monitor the effectiveness of the current programs and initiate suggestions for new programs that may complement existing ones.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm with evenings and weekends. Less than 10% onsite.
In this position, you will
- Marketing and Membership Growth: Develop, plan, coordinate and evaluate workshops, interest tables, marketing events and financial education presentations all focused on member acquisition. Identify and acquire new Select Employer Groups through PSECU's sales process and CRM strategies. Maintain relationships with existing employer groups to enhance membership growth and retention. Promote brand awareness at Chamber of Commerce events, Human Resources Conferences, and other community events.
- Quality Control and Strategic Planning: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of presentations through membership growth data and feedback. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and adjust strategies. Make product and service recommendations based on member feedback. Evaluate ROI of relationships, sponsorships and memberships to make budget recommendations.
- Administrative and Operational: Be flexible and willing to work outside of standard working hours (including weekends and holidays, as needed) to connect with current and prospective clients. Ensure timely completion of required reports. May be required to hold membership drives at correctional facilities (with proper clearance).
- Knowledge and Workflow Management: Maintain required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Understand PSECU's goals, culture, philosophy, products, and services. Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and goals with minimal daily supervision.
- Ethical Practices and Confidentiality: Uphold ethical practices in all interactions and communications. Maintain confidentiality and document control to protect member data. Must meet Credit worthiness standards. Bondable - Must notify Human Resources in writing of conviction involving dishonesty, breach of trust or violation of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Code (17 Pa. S. C. A. 101 et seq.) during the course of employment with PSECU.
