Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client’s business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of optimizing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving productivity, reducing costs, and delivering exceptional service to their customers.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and meet organizational goals.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, and replenishment strategies to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and refine operational processes to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Performance Management: Set performance goals and KPIs for the operations team, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement safety protocols, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control expenses without compromising quality or service.
Customer Service: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a wholesale distribution environment.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in operations and logistics.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings, and achieve operational targets.
