Job Description:Our client is looking for a skilled Medical Biller to join their team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can efficiently manage billing tasks, navigate insurance policies, maintain strong communication with clients and insurance agents, and assist with additional responsibilities including payment plans, collecting copays, and front desk duties.
General Responsibilities & duties:
  • Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date patient information.
  • Managing hospital and outpatient billing, with a focus on oncology-related cases.
  • Handling referrals, pre-authorizations, late payments, and financial discrepancies.
  • Investigating and appealing denied claims.
  • Assisting patients with setting up payment plans according to their financial capabilities.
  • Collecting copays and handling related financial transactions with patients.
  • Supporting front desk duties as needed, including patient check-in, scheduling appointments, and providing general administrative support.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Biller experience.
  • Experience with hospital and outpatient billing.
  • Familiarity with commercial insurances and insurance providers' websites.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel); advanced skills preferred.

Performance Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management abilities and capacity to work independently.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Proven ability to assist with payment plans, collect copays, and support front desk operations, demonstrating versatility and a patient-focused approach.
