Leading litigation boutique firm seeks an experienced and dynamic Senior Family Law Attorney to lead their family law practice group. The firm is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to clients facing family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic relations.

The Senior Family Law Attorney will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the family law practice group, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to their clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the family law practice group, including attorneys and support staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of family law cases, from initial client consultation to case resolution, ensuring that each client receives personalized attention and effective representation.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for associate attorneys, providing guidance, training, and feedback on case management, legal strategy, and professional development.
  • Ensure that the family law practice group maintains high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
  • Manage a caseload of family law matters.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients with overlapping legal needs.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and expand the firm's family law practice.
  • Stay abreast of developments in family law, including changes in statutes, regulations, and case law, and ensure that the practice group remains current on legal developments by participating in CLE seminars.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders in the legal community maintaining the firm's reputation for integrity, professionalism, and excellence in legal representation.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Attorney handling Family Law matters.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and high-stakes litigation.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and providing quality legal representation to clients.
  • Knowledge of local court rules and procedures related to family law matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and advocacy.
