Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation including plates, nails, staples, fasteners, etc.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompletes work area setupFits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standardsOperates presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly processStacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished productEnsures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains a clean and orderly work environmentProvides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when requiredMaintains production records as requiredChecks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standardsPerforms duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standardsParticipates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications High school diploma/GED preferred but not requiredA minimum of 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year of experience or more is preferredWorking knowledge of basic mathMust be at least 18 years of ageClick here to watch what a day in the life of an Assembler looks like.The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
