Job Duties
- Production Planning and Management:
- Establish short- and long-term production goals and develop plans to meet these targets.
- Ensure production schedules are met and that products adhere to quality standards.
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure products meet stringent quality control standards specific to filtration media.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold quality standards.
- Data Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the production floor adheres to all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety training sessions.
- Maintain compliance with environmental regulations related to water filtration media production.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, train, and evaluate production staff, including Supervisors and operators.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Address employee concerns and provide feedback to promote growth and development.
- Resource Management:
- Manage budgets and control production costs.
- Coordinate the efficient use of equipment and materials.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, Sales, Engineering, and upper management.
- Work with external partners to establish long-term relationships and enhance production capabilities.
- Inventory and Maintenance:
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee monthly pre-counts.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or maintenance supervisory role, preferably in the water filtration industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of water filtration media production processes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with machine processing, troubleshooting, and metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of VFD programming.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- This role is based in a manufacturing environment and may require standing for extended periods.
- Occasional travel to vendor sites or other company locations may be required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, to meet production demands.
