Our client located in Nashville, TN is seeking a Compliance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations related to affordable housing programs in TN.

Location: Nashville, TN
Salary: $85k-125K DOE
Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations, including those related to LIHTC, HUD, and other funding sources
  • Maintain a current understanding of changes in housing laws and regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance
  • Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements
  • Design and deliver training programs for staff on compliance-related topics
  • Ensure ongoing education and development for team members
  • Prepare and submit rquired reports to regulatory agencies and funding bodies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to compliance activities
  • Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field within the affordable housing sector
  • In-depth knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and guide staff effectively
  • Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification in relevant compliance fields (e.g., HCCP, CPO), preferred
