Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Department position at Mass General Brigham in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Job Requirements
  • BSN required
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required
  • BLS required
  • Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS
  • PALS preferred
  • Newly licensed nurse must obtain ACLS and PALS within first six (6) months of employment
  • ED experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years' telemetry experience preferred
  • Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
  • Must show evidence of basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
  • Demonstrate observational skills and ability to set priorities
  • Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management
About the Role

The Emergency Department at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is a 21-bed unit that provides compassionate and personalized care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.

The department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offers diagnostic X-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound services 24/7, with MRI available for most of the day, seven days a week.

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is a 171-bed non-profit, community teaching hospital located in Jamaica Plain.

The hospital offers comprehensive care in a wide variety of specialties and is a designated Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
