MUST:
Experienced Pharmacy Technician
Must be licensed in Indiana as a Pharmacy Technician
Must have at least 2 plus of in-patient as a Pharmacy Technician
Must have strong IV experience
Must have experience with automated dispensing cabinets
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have high attention to detail
Experience answering patient questions regarding their health plan drug coverage
Experience handling matters directly with health insurance companies

DUTIES:
Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy
Communicates with customers in a pleasant and professional manner
Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Package materials and products manually
Provide a high level of customer service by answering pharmacy phones and responding promptly to the requests of colleagues, patients, nurses, physicians, and hospice personnel
Contribute to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high productivity level and an error-free work product
Accesses medication history within patient electronic records and communicates with providers and health care team through secure EHR systems
Assists and serves patients
Assists in the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of drug inventory
Bills and adjudicates prescription claims
Ability to use Microsoft office to generate reports that will be presented and communicated within the organization
Ability to use different platforms to communicate and organize delivery services and/or mail orders
Assists pharmacists as directed
