McCann Systems, a well-established commercial audiovisual design and build firm, is seeking an experienced AV Installation Technician to join our team.

Job Description:

The preferred candidate will have a technical background in the audiovisual industry, and strong leadership and customer interaction skills. Candidates must have the ability to troubleshoot basic audio, video, and control system problems and have familiarity with major brands of audiovisual systems and components. Related experience in similar industries such as IT, residential AV, Security and Electrical will be considered. The successful candidate must be a hard-working team player, computer proficient, have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Formal and on the job training will provide a path to unlimited growth potential within this fast-growing company and will be solely dependent on your hard work and determination to achieve success. Candidates must be open to travel and overtime as needed.


A candidate for this position must possess the following skills:

  • Motivated and work well on their own or with others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring drawings.
  • Detail and process oriented (a must).
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective professional-level interaction with employees, contractors, and customers.
  • Industry certifications such as CTS, Crestron, AMX or Extron are preferred but not required.
  • Solid experience in commercial audiovisual installations including projectors, projection screens, video displays, cabling, and rack wiring.
  • Use of hand tools including BNC crimp and compression tools, RJ45 crimpers, Dsub crimpers, soldering iron.
  • Hands-on experience with major brands of Video Codecs and UC Engines to include Polycom, Cisco, Neat.
  • Basic understanding of IP Networks.

Salary is based upon experience. McCann Systems, LLC offers comprehensive benefit packages, including family medical and dental benefits, matching 401K, paid time off, dental, and more.
