Insurance Follow-up Specialist

Schedule:Monday - FridayShift can be a consistent 8 hour shift between the hours of 5:00am to 5:00pm local timeCompensation:$18 - $20/hr based on experience; Quarterly Bonus EligiblePrincipal ResponsibilitiesFollow-up with Out-of-State Medicaid billed claims regarding claim status and resolution of payments in a timely manner.Thoroughly review all notes in patient accounts for potential benefit eligibility.Access client systems to determine eligibility and filing status in order to prepare claims for billing.Request necessary documents from client to perform billing.Responsible for accurately tracking payments and payment verifications.Contact patients when additional information is required to complete billing.Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate documentation and updates in all required systems for each work event.Dependent upon position, identify root cause of issues and concerns, determine resolution, and refer to Management.Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.Make recommendations to implement improved processes.Perform other duties as assigned by management. Experience and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience desired.Previous Out-of State Medicaid billing/customer service experience preferred.Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Typing speed of 45 - 55 words per minute.Attention to details and excellent organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Ability to work in a team fostered environment.Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.Work EnvironmentOnsite office environment.Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds with or without accommodation.BenefitsPTOOne personal day annuallyPaid holidays401k with matchPaid 20K Employee Life InsurancePaid Employee Long-Term DisabilityMedical, Vision, DentalShort-Term DisabilityGetixHealth is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.
