Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Albany Family Medicine is looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. Hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. **This position is eligible for up to a $10,000 recruitment and retention bonus** Responsibilities Practice medicine with physician supervision including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. Assess patient status by obtaining health history. Order/perform laboratory diagnostic and other screening tests. Treat illnesses, give injections, suture wounds. Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care. Counsel patient/family on preventive health care. Participate in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development and other continuing education. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
