The Department of Urology at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy and collaborative general urology practice. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.Position HighlightsFull‑time Monday–Friday scheduleClinic hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Primary sites: South Clinical Campus (Albany) and NiskayunaAverage 18–20 patients per day once fully trainedResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of general urologic conditionsSee scheduled patients and same‑day urgent add‑ons for concerns such as hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, and kidney stonesPerform in‑office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injectionsConduct patient education, follow‑up visits, and medication managementCollaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high‑quality patient careOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studiesDocument patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health recordParticipate in quality improvement and practice efficiency initiativesQualificationsLicense and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner or physician assistant in New York StateMaster's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant programFamiliarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience a plusCollaborate effectively across various departments to ensure cohesive, patient‑centered care and a positive work environmentMaintain HIPAA and patient confidentialityThis position offers the chance to build clinical expertise across the full spectrum of general urology while working within one of the region’s leading academic health systems.BenefitsCompetitive base salary range $117,766–$138,548 with additional incentive bonus opportunityComprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)Generous paid time off and holiday scheduleAlbany Med retirement plan plus a 403(b)Annual CME allowance and dedicated CME timeOccurrence‑based malpractice coverageEmployee wellness programs and mental health supportExcellent health care coverage with no copay at Albany Medical Center providersA wide array of services and programs to support emotional, physical, and mental wellbeingEqual Opportunity EmployerAlbany Medical College is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences, including women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
