What You Will Be Doing Develop academic frameworks that translate learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivation architecture, and application development. Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure teams are aligned, responsible, and achieving measurable outcomes. Analyze data, conduct interviews, and observe practice to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions. Ensure strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives. Serve as the face of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—influencing global perspectives on education. What You Won’t Be Doing Work on disconnected curriculum initiatives that fail to produce system-wide impact. Produce theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or implementation. Transfer accountability for performance to mid-level managers or external consultants. Depend on institutional credibility or abstract theory to win over critical audiences. Director Of Learning Science Key Responsibilities Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across multiple schools, raising leadership expectations, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice of a movement anchored in robust science and demonstrated impact. Basic Requirements Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field. 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes. Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning. Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising. Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar. Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions. Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture. Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts. Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
