Business travel may be required; all commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.ResponsibilitiesUnder the general direction of the Branch Chief, Information Technology Manager II, IT District Operations, the incumbent serves as the Chief for the District 12 IT Office. The incumbent oversees the Client Services and System Support Units and manages IT professionals across several classification levels, from Information Technology Associate to Information Technology Supervisor II. Responsibilities include:Provision of end‑user desktop and mobile computer support, Local Area Network (LAN) support, Server hosting, and Storage management.Overseeing IT procurement, asset management, and related processes.Full management responsibility for the development and maintenance of hardware and software standards, processes, and procedures.Organizing, planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling all day‑to‑day IT operations of the District 12 Santa Ana Office and the supported region.Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum qualifications:Two years of experience as an Information Technology Supervisor I; orOne year of experience as an Information Technology Supervisor II; orSix years of progressively responsible experience in IT support or services within one or more of the major six domains or a closely related/emerging IT field, with at least two years of advanced supervisory experience over complex systems.Substitution through education is available:A master’s or doctorate degree may substitute for four years of required experience.A bachelor’s degree may substitute for three years.An associate’s degree may substitute for one year.Education substitution requires at least 15 semester units of IT or related coursework.
