We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Bookkeeping Specialist to join our clients team. This position is responsible for maintaining and managing financial records of real estate transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, reporting, and financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Record all real estate-related financial transactions, including sales, purchases, property management fees, rental income, and expense tracking.
Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for all real estate properties.
Track rental income, payments, and security deposits for rental properties.
Reconcile bank accounts, mortgage accounts, and escrow accounts monthly.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in accounts such as property management, commissions, repairs, and maintenance.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports).
Assist in preparing budget reports and variance analyses.
Prepare financial documentation and reports for tax purposes and annual audits.
Handle vendor payments, track and ensure timely payments to contractors, and manage purchase orders.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required with experience).
Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the real estate industry.
Experience with real estate-specific accounting software is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and real estate financial regulations.
Proficiency in bookkeeping software
