Job Description: We are seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor Aide to (CDCA) join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a heart to help and the grace to offer support in times of need. As a Counselor Aide, you will assist our licensed counselors in providing care and support to individuals in our programs, including those in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) groups, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and trauma-informed care groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the facilitation of group therapy sessions under the supervision of licensed counselors.
Provide support and encouragement to clients as they navigate their recovery journey.
Assist with case management tasks, including scheduling appointments and following up with clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
Help create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Support clients in developing coping skills and accessing community resources.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in psychology, social work, or related field is a plus.
Passion for helping others and a non-judgmental attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and grow in the field of substance use counseling.
