New York, United States Wagmo, Inc. Full time
What We Do

Wagmo is a new type of pet health company focused on empowering and inspiring responsible pet parenting through top-tier pet benefits provided by employers. From everyday care to rainy-day emergencies, we offer tech-enabled solutions that are optimized for value and flexibility so that our pet parents always feel confident that they are giving their pets the care they deserve.

What's Important To Us

We solve hard problems all day long but hang out with dogs while we do it. We value authenticity and efficiency and have no time for egos. We prioritize performance over pedigree, compensate fairly, and never take ourselves too seriously.

Our values are core to who we are and how we operate. We talk about them all the time. These are not just things posted on a wall. We will interview for them, hold each other accountable to them, and make sure we work with every single person we interact with in a way that's consistent with these values.

About The Role

Wagmo's Principal Product Manager will own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for key initiatives that directly impact the lives of pet parents and the employers who offer our product to their employees as an HR benefit. This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product manager with significant B2B experience, ideally in the employer benefits space, who thrives on uncovering customer pain points and delivering innovative solutions.

You will work cross-functionally with teams across engineering, customer success, customer operations, sales, marketing, and design to bring products to life while aligning with Wagmo's mission and goals. This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in our NYC office.

Core Responsibilities

Understand the Wagmo Customer
  • Conduct research to uncover the needs, pain points, and workflows of both B2B clients and pet parents.
  • Engage directly with key customers, stakeholders, and market influencers to gather insights and shape product strategy.
  • Build and evangelize detailed customer personas to ensure the product strategy aligns with user needs.
Define & Refine Our Product Vision
  • Craft a compelling product vision that serves as a north star for Wagmo's development efforts.
  • Ensure the product vision reflects a deep understanding of Wagmo's competitive landscape, differentiators, and market opportunities.
Create and Prioritize Product Roadmaps

  • Anticipate and address roadblocks, ensuring milestones are achieved without sacrificing quality.
  • Continuously refine the roadmap based on user feedback, data, and organizational priorities.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Act as the strategic leader in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all teams, including engineering, customer success, customer operations, sales, marketing, and design.
  • Drive accountability by clearly defining success criteria and project goals, leading to successful and well-informed product launches.
  • Run design sprint / rapid prototyping / hackathon exercises to accelerate product roadmap exploration.
Measure Product Success
  • Design and implement robust frameworks for tracking success to manage OKRs and KPIs that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead post-launch analyses to refine the roadmap and optimize performance.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation to validate ideas and drive innovation.
Elevate Product Strategy
  • Inspire bold, customer-centric solutions that set new standards for excellence.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape Wagmo's long-term product strategy and measurable goals.
  • Explore innovative technologies and approaches to solve customer challenges effectively.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact product success or delivery timelines.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with a strong background in B2B product development. Bonus points for experience in the employer benefits space.
  • Customer Empathy: Proven ability to understand and solve for customer pain points in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated expertise in defining product strategy and roadmaps that align with business goals.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Experience managing and using data and analytics to make informed decisions, define success metrics, and iterate on products.
