Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic AM Line Cook to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The person having this position must possess good communication skills, organizational skills, and have a thorough understanding of LINE policies, procedures and expectations. duty of this position is to prep Alfred, morning and afternoon BEOs, breakfast prep and service, light prep if needed for other concepts.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each

employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

1. Prep items for breakfast, room service, Alfred food service, and convenance.

2. Breakfast starts at 7am and Alfred opens at 6:30am

3. Set the station up for breakfast service (prepped items, sanitizer bucket, towels, tools, etc.)

4. Make sure to have everything on the par list for Alfred and breakfast service and all prepped items are up to the standards and expectations of The Line.

5. Have am breakfast staff meal downstairs by 8 am

6. During breakfast service, make sure pars for Alfreds are maintained, make sure bread dough is made and shaped, and proofing.

7. Take a break at 10:30am, before going on break make sure to hand off any work to prep or AM Sous and check out with manager.

8. Maintain a clean workstation.

9. If the service is slow assist with prep for Tenderheart and Rise over Run.

10. If there is a BEO prep, execute BEO for breakfast and lunch.

11. Breakfast and lunch is over by 1pm.

12. Straighten up the walkin and dry goods

13. Help with dish pit if needed

14. By 1-1:15pm start to break down and clean, once the station is cleaned and prep for the next day is done, check out with the manager for any additional tasks and items for the next day (like BEOs for the next day or unique events).

15. Check out with management.

Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
  1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  2. Related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
  3. SERV Safe certificate
  4. Basic Knowledge for standard health practices (temperature danger zones, FIFO, labeling and dating, proper storage practices, etc.)
  5. Basic knife skills
  6. Basic knowledge of kitchen practices

Working Conditions/Environment

1. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

2. The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis

3. The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for more than five (5) hours per day

4. The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
  • Must be able to use step ladder.
