LINE COOK

The Line Cook will help prepare menu items under the guidance of our Head of Culinary. The Line Cook will play a vital role in upholding our food safety and cleanliness standards. In addition, the Line Cook will assist in restocking items, sanitizing equipment, and plating meals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Provide Saluhall customers with an impeccable experience

  • Prepare and plate meals on par with Saluhall standards

  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the kitchen team for seamless meal execution

  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment

  • Ensure food is presented in a high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers


REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience in years

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

  • Upon employment, all Employees are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities. Employees who violate organization rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility environmental systems.

  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.

  • Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis.

  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.

  • Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment.

  • Talking, hearing and seeing (vision) occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, Supervisors and other Employees.


Compensation: $20.00 hourly. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
