Overview:
Our client is looking for an experienced, data driven leader to join the operations team of a successful and growing asset manager. We're looking for someone who is experienced not only in the energy industry, but also understands scheduling, settling and reliability rules and a strong knowledge of ISO rules.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all ISO market rules.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily scheduling activities.
- Utilize technology to streamline processes, drive automation, and enhance business outcomes.
- Monitor changes in ISO business rules and integrate them into scheduling activities.
- Participate in ISO-sponsored training to stay current with market changes.
- Cross-train with other Operations team members to broaden market knowledge across diverse functions, such as Settlements.
- Collaborate with team members, including Trade Accountants, Traders, and external parties (e.g., ISO & client staff) to resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience with scheduling, settlement, dispatch and reliability rules in one or more organized markets such as PJM, NYISO, ISNE, MISO, ERCOT, SPP, and CAISO.
- Bachelors degree or 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to implement new processes, multitask, and adapt priorities without direct supervision.
- Proficiency in improving processes through the development of automated tools.
- A deep desire to understand market and system functions and the determination to uncover complex details.
- Certification in PJM, ISO-NE, or NERC is advantageous.
