Radiology Scheduler Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Radiology Scheduler to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient scheduling activities for all on-site and off-site sections in the Department of Radiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient scheduling activities for all on-site and off-site sections in the Department of Radiology.
  • Work closely with referring physician offices and Radiology sections to coordinate the scheduling of patient procedures.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of communication to achieve quality care.
  • Perform all secretarial and patient confirmation functions necessary for the complete and efficient management of patient scheduling and access through the Radiology Department.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience and formal course work in medical terminology and office procedure, generally acquired through medical secretarial course/school beyond High School, equal to two (2) years of college scholastic preparation.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of medical office or clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
