Purpose Of Assignment UNICEF’s Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) seeks to engage the entertainment industry to enable unrestricted fundraising through individual giving, philanthropy and corporate channels. The Strategic Initiatives Sports Consultant will support UNICEF’s fundraising and marketing work across the sport sector. Scope Of Work Under the supervision of the Corporate Alliances Manager, you will lead the development and execution of a global marketing campaign and fundraising strategy across UNICEF’s new entertainment-led platform: Every Play for Every Child. Your role will bridge marketing, partnerships activations and fundraising, delivering strong financial results through strategic partnerships while amplifying our visibility in the sport industry. Role And Responsibilities Develop UNICEF’s offering and fundraising strategy for sports. Create and maintain operational processes for the sports industry within UNICEF. Deliver global marketing campaigns and activations for B2B and B2C audiences. Develop fundraising mechanisms and tools to support the global strategy. Build capacity with fundraising markets and oversee their partnership development. Lead and participate in global partnership efforts. Create fundraising and marketing assets for the private sector. Coordinate marketing and communications. Manage budget, work planning, reporting and KPIs. Lead the global market working group and any global workshops. Deliverables / Outputs Draft fundraising business cases for each milestone. Continuous stakeholder engagement and discussion support (estimated 50 sessions). Updated global campaign planning and launch documents. OKR/KPI data collection and reporting slides. Research on sponsor analysis and case studies. Finalised campaign assets and lessons learned. Consultant’s Workplace And Official Travel The consultant will work remotely/home‑based. Travel may be required on a per‑need basis and will be covered separately by UNICEF. Travel Clause All UNICEF travel rules apply. All travel requires prior written approval by UNICEF. Consultants must possess a valid UN BSAFE certificate, obligatory inoculations and own travel/medical insurance. Education Advanced university degree in Marketing, Communications, humanities, journalism, broadcast, or another relevant field. Alternatively, a first‑level university degree plus two additional years of qualifying professional experience. Additional training in related fields is an asset. Experience Minimum five years of experience in fundraising, partnership development, project management, and knowledge management. Experience with philanthropic/corporate audiences and translating insights into marketing activations. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Proven experience in developing new fundraising models and international sports partnerships. Proven experience leading fundraising events. Experience developing content and working with creative teams or agencies is an asset. Experience in the NGO sector, UNICEF and/or UN is an asset. Experience with a UNICEF National Committee is an asset. Experience with the entertainment industry is an asset. Skills Strategic planning and execution: strong strategic thinking with the ability to design and implement complex marketing and fundraising initiatives. Flexibility and teamwork: ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong customer‑service approach and stakeholder relationship building. Language Fluency in English required. Knowledge of an additional UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset. Knowledge of a UNICEF National Committee language is an asset.
