This service department is designed to make sure our retail divisions and executive leadership receive the support they need to run a successful operation. Within Finance our teams include: Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Tax and Treasury.  

Collaborate with National Finance, Procurement and Operations teams to drive effective non-merchandise procurement controls, processes and analytics, support Company's strategic initiatives and ensure accounting compliance and reporting. Participate in learning and implementing process in SAP Ariba. Ability to learn and apply procurement policies and Ariba procedures in an ever-changing environment. Review large quantities of data in excel and work with end users to ensure understanding and guide them through error corrections.


Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Naperville, IL This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Ensures policy and procedures are being followed by reviewing the accounting details on specified Ariba Purchase Requisitions.
• Works with Ariba End Users to correct Purchase Requestions and ensure there future understanding of the processes.
• Resolves tickets assigned to the team within a 48-hour Service Level Agreement.
• Notifies Senior Analysts of complex tickets to be resolved by them.
• Assists in the identification of training opportunities with newly implemented SAP modules.
• Maintains and updates SAP master data on the Training SharePoint site to facilitate the updating of all reference guides and Ariba Upload Templates.
• Supports projects according to the position’s objectives upon their direct leader’s request.
• Conducts review of assigned project topics to determine best practices and anticipated impact of the project.
• Analyzes working procedures with the objective to identify best practices and improve efficiencies.
• Assists their direct leader in implementation and rollouts of large-scale projects.
• Develops and executes plans for smaller scale projects.
• Communicates status effectively and creates required project deliverables including: training materials, procedure documents, and rollout materials.
• Identifies project issues and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.

• Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.   Physical Requirements:   • Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.   Travel:
• Domestic travel required.
• Up to 10%.
