Strategic Account Director

Position Summary Quanex is looking for a Strategic Account Director to join our sales team. This role has the potential to be remote. The Strategic Account Director is responsible for relationship and overall account management for strategic customers. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve annual sales targets and drive growth across all business lines. Manage large national accounts and build executive-level relationships, including demonstrated success with C‑Suite engagement. Lead cross‑functional coordination to ensure seamless project execution, resource alignment, and exceptional service delivery. Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Communicate effectively through presentations and reports, ensuring timely updates on forecasts, sales calls, and key metrics. Plan and prioritize outside sales activities to maximize client engagement and support new business transitions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 10 years of outside sales experience and business development. Demonstrated success managing strategic OEM customer relationships. Excellent communication skills.
