Job Description The BDR will cultivate relationships with key decision-makers (architects, designers, contractors, owners, end-users) to promote our flooring solutions and secure specifications. This role demands a self-starter with strong territory management skills, communication skills, and industry knowledge. Responsibilities Relationship Development & Networking: Establish and maintain daily in-person contact with flooring specifiers and industry professionals. Develop and maintain an accurate industry contact database. Collaborate with MHCO Territory Sales Representatives and fellow Business Development Representatives. Establish relationships with key flooring contractors, builders, developers to pull-through specifications and secure business opportunities. Coordinate efforts with vendor/manufacturer representatives to maximize market potential. Represent MHCO at regional trade shows. Product Promotion & Technical Expertise: Present product solutions and technical specifications effectively. Distribute product information and samples. Provide technical assistance and product training. Schedule Lunch & Learns/CEU presentations. Specification & Sales Generation: Identify and pursue sales opportunities. Influence early-stage project specifications. Manage architectural submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements. Conduct market research and competitor analysis. Follow Up: Follow up on projects and ensure that specifications are maintained throughout the project life cycle. Administrative & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM data and generate sales reports. Prepare expense reports. Travel: Occasional overnight travel. Perform other Duties as Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree. Minimum 3 years of sales/product specification experience in the NYC construction industry. Established relationships within the NYC A&D community. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Residence within the NYC Metro Area.
