Frostburg State University seeks qualified applicants for a Clinical Support Specialist in our Department of Nursing. Available to begin Fall 2024, this is a full-time, 12-month staff position. The continuation of this position is contingent upon recurring grant funds. The Department of Nursing at FSU provides a variety of undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and pathways including a new online LPN to BSN, new on-campus BSN program, online RN to BSN, and four graduate nursing concentrations. This staff position is to support clinical placement and nursing laboratory (skill and simulation) within the undergraduate BSN program.

The individual in this position works closely with our clinical support team including Simulation and Clinical Placement Specialists. Clinical placement requires networking, affiliation development, and serving as a liaison between the student, preceptor, and clinical site. The position is also responsible for assisting with on-campus skill laboratory for undergraduate students. Assistance includes skill and simulation equipment set up, assisting faculty during the skill or simulation laboratory, and providing open laboratory hours for student practice. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, along with a strong clinical background in bedside nursing.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university. Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Earned master's degree in nursing from an accredited university. Experience teaching or precepting students in a simulation and skills laboratory or clinical nursing education experience.
