The Senior Actuary will play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing, regulatory filings, and actuarial strategy for our North American travel insurance portfolio. You’ll lead major multi-state pricing and filing projects, bring deep GLM and modeling expertise, and help modernize our actuarial toolkit as we enter an exciting phase of product evolution and integration across Zurich Cover-More and Travel Guard. Responsibilities You’ll lead pricing analysis and GLM modeling across retail and wholesale travel products. You’ll develop actuarial memos, exhibits, and manuals for 50-state filings, including complex states like CA and NY. You’ll own actuarial projects end‑to‑end, from scoping to execution to documentation. You’ll perform rate indications, experience studies, and ongoing monitoring to support profitability goals. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to advance key workstreams. You’ll maintain, enhance, and document actuarial tools, models, and processes. You’ll work independently while contributing to a transparent, open, and supportive team culture. Qualifications You’ll bring an ASA/ACAS designation and ~7+ years of experience in A&H, P&C, or related lines. You’ll bring strong GLM expertise and confidence discussing methodology, assumptions, and interpretation. You’ll bring hands‑on capability with Python, R, Emblem, Excel/VBA, and SQL, plus data visualization experience. You’ll bring a track record of independently managing large, complex actuarial and filing projects. You’ll bring excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical detail clearly. You’ll bring reliability, strong work ethic, and comfort working remotely as a self‑starter. You’ll bring curiosity, adaptability, and a problem‑solving mindset suited to a fast‑evolving travel insurance space.
