*Dental Billing Rep Overview*
West 10th Dental Group is a multi-specialty dental group with a goal of serving our patients with quality care and compassion. As part of that mission, we are seeking a STRONG healthcare billing representative to join our team. You *MUST *be well versed in *all aspects of healthcare billing *including but not limited to: *claims submission, account balancing, denial management, understanding of fee schedules and how they apply to patient accounts etc.*
*The Job*: This position provides assistance to patients and supports the administrative staff through fulfilling various aspects of billing/collections/insurance. *Dental billing and insurance experience is given high priority.*
*Duties include (but are not limited to):*

* *MUST HAVE PROVIDER-SIDE BILLING EXPERIENCE.*
* Manage credit balances monthly
* Set up and manage direct payment accounts, report monthly
* File claims electronically, including corrected claims
* Follow up on all insurance "no pays"; 60/90/120 follow up
* Handle all denials; follow up on denied or low paid claims; work daily
* Monitor adjustments; correct insurance policies in the system
* Draft narratives supporting documentation
* Send secondary claims to Medicaid
* Audit accounts and note balances
* Daily follow up on all received correspondence
* Submit and follow up on reimbursement request
* Manage and follow up on billing calls and account inquiries

*Requirements:*

* Understanding of how healthcare insurance and billing works in general.
* Dental insurance background is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
