As an Equipment Coordinator/Dispatcher, your key responsibilities will be fulfilling requests and coordinating the release, transfer, and return of owned and rented equipment. This involves monitoring intake and utilization of the equipment, processing the check-in of equipment; scheduling; coordinate equipment pick up/transfer; developing and implementing plans for managing equipment inventory. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs standard and routine work in the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment. We place an emphasis on candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer service orientation. Process management and independent problem solver. Actively supports field operation goals and objectives through completing technical/administrative dispatch tasks on time and accurately, providing ongoing support, and proactively resolving challenges and issues. Completes ongoing equipment administration function in support of equipment and tool transfers, accounting activities, and repair/service. Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. Participates in departmental meetings to stay abreast of department/business unit issues especially as they pertain to dispatch, construction practices and procedures, field operations, and other relevant topics. Secondary invoice reviewer and approver. Management of equipment GPS software to identify vehicle location, utilization, equipment uptime and identify equipment underutilized or available. Planning and implementing ways to increase effectiveness of fleet tracking mechanisms. Manages the day-to-day scheduling of the Fleet Transport Driver to ensure fleet assets are mobilized effectively. (Implement digital scheduling platform for easy scheduling and scheduling requests) Assists in equipment organization at yard locations so fleet always has knowledge of what is always available. Markets and endorses Equipment Operations products and services. Participates in the annual rental rate review by analyzing trends, life cycles, market rates, financials, internal equipment market valuation and historical data. Performs administrative functions relating to: Gathering and analyzing quotes. Researching specifications and obtaining comps. Performing calculations for disposals. Performing calculations in support of acquisitions. Required Skills/Abilities: 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination. Ability to lift and move 50lbs. Ability to understand and apply basic financial concepts. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and analysis of day-to-day tasks. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks. Valid driver's license. Ability to travel to jobsites, possibly with overnight accommodations. Candidates must meet the government deployment requirements. Pre-Employment Drug Screening. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years rental, warehouse, or construction materials experience (Preferred). Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite. Basic construction knowledge including awareness of procedures, project life cycles, and construction resources and equipment. A technical background in the transportation industry with trucks, and/or heavy construction equipment. Physical requirements: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as personal computers and record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
