This role is **based in Poland and primarily remote**, with occasional office visits required depending on work needs. As a **Design and Verification Engineer,** this role involveshands-on FPGA design and functional verification. The engineer will write RTL code (VHDL/SystemVerilog) to implement test plans that verify and validate hardware and FPGA functionality against requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of FPGAs and digital hardware, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and manufacturing teams. The FPGA Engineer will work independently and will be supported by Avid’s Hardware Engineering and Software Engineering teams.# # # **WHAT YOU WILL DO*** Develop and maintain FPGA designs using a strong working knowledge of VHDL and SystemVerilog.* Strong working knowledge of VHDL and System Verilog* Write FPGA test plans for audio products* VHDL design and VHDL functional verification test suites* System Verilog design and System Verilog functional verification test suits. Strong experience with UVM highly desired.* Work with hardware engineering to help bring-up debug prototypes* Work with software engineering to integrate designs with software* Work closely with hardware engineering to collaborate on new FPGA designs* Participate in project planning, design reviews and technical meetings.# # # WHAT YOU CAN DELIVER **Minimum Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/or other related engineering fields.* 5+ years of related industry experience in FPGA design, RTL coding (VHDL/SystemVerilog), and digital hardware development. **Preferred Skills, Experience, Capabilities:*** Strong experience with Git for version control and collaborative development of FPGA projects.* FPGA design fluency using VHDL and SystemVerilog.* Proficiency with Xilinx Vivado and/or Intel Quartus, including high-speed FPGA design, synthesis, timing closure, and simulation.* Solid background in digital design, microprocessor environments, and interfaces such as I²C, SPI, USB, PCIe, DMA, and other serial protocols.* Experience using oscilloscopes and other hardware debugging tools for FPGA and board-level testing.* Hands-on experience with digital audio systems and audio processing pipelines.* Experience with ModelSim or equivalent simulation tools for functional verification.* Scripting experience in Shell, Python, Perl, or similar for test automation and workflow efficiency. **Aside from the minimum requirements and preferred qualifications above, the successful candidate shall possess the following behavioral traits and technical skills:** * Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities to meet project deadlines.* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.* Excellent documentation practices and proven problem-solving abilities to identify issues, implement solutions, and support team decision-making. **WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO:*** Join a global team and experience a dynamic, collaborative work environment that fosters innovation and growth* Remote work model offering flexibility to balance work and life* Access to development programs with strong support and mentoring to help you grow and advance within the company* Attractive benefits package including health & life insurance, referral rewards, and generous leave policies to ensure a healthy work-life balance ***Avid is an equal opportunity employer.
