Job Overview:

The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within a designated regional territory in North America. This role requires a deep understanding of Dynatect’s products, industry trends, and customer needs, particularly in the Urethane and Rubber product markets. The successful candidate will lead efforts to identify growth opportunities, manage key accounts, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure world-class performance in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional sales.

  • Sales Strategy & Growth: Work with the local management team to identify and execute growth strategies, aligned with Dynatect’s capabilities and market trends.

  • Opportunity Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring regular business review meetings to track progress.

  • Key Account Management: Oversee the management of key accounts, including establishing annual orders and ensuring customer needs are met.

  • Product Development: Lead initiatives to develop cost-effective Urethane and Rubber products that meet customer requirements. Collaborate with raw material vendors to identify cost-reduction opportunities and qualify new products.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Understand market dynamics, competitive positions, and industry trends. Recommend actions to counter competitive threats.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Customer Service, and Engineering teams to align on pricing strategies, product development, and customer service excellence.

  • Reporting: Submit timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports, including monthly sales forecasts and market analyses.

  • Event Participation: Attend industry trade shows and customer meetings to stay informed about industry developments and foster new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or technical management, with a focus on Urethane, Rubber, or similar materials.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial acumen.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Physical Demands: Frequent travel, including driving and visiting customer sites. Some physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and handling materials may be required.

  • Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to typical manufacturing environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
