Description:Â Â PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Process Engineer will provide support to maintain production uptime, reduce risk, and optimize operating expense by focusing on debottlenecking, surveillance, process control, product quality, ideal operating windows, and chemical programs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
â¢Â          Support operations with production bottlenecks, process optimization, phase separation, and chemical applications
â¢Â          Conduct surveillance on equipment and process
â¢Â          Understand overall platform material and energy balances
â¢Â          Identify remedial or proactive measurements to sustain or improve uptime
â¢Â          Interface with 3rd party chemical provider regarding sampling, monitoring, and data collection
â¢Â          Ensure that export product quality meets pipeline and overboard water specifications
â¢Â          Understand and optimize equipment and control systems to minimize process related downtime
â¢Â          Establish KPIs for performance of major equipment and processes including their operating envelopes
â¢Â          Recognize, plan and execute process improvements to reduce expense and increase efficiency and uptime
â¢Â          Participate in facility and major project hazard reviews

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, Chemical Engineering with focus on fluid mechanics and hydrocarbon processing preferred
Experience:Â 5-10 years of experience in oil and gas processing required, offshore Gulf of Mexico experience preferred Professional/Technical Knowledge:
â¢Â          Familiar with oil and gas process; including gas-liquid (foaming, gas carry over, gas carry under) and water-oil separation (emulsions, water quality, gravimetric, BS&W in oil and MIC)
â¢Â          Familiar with system performance assessments and building process models for troubleshooting
â¢Â          Understanding of pump, reciprocating and turbine compression systems
â¢Â          Understanding of process and safety control systems
â¢Â          Ability to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, SAFDs, and equipment data sheets
â¢Â          Knowledge of pressure relief, separator, heat exchanger, and control valve designs to evaluate capacities and identify bottlenecks
â¢Â          Familiar with separation and integrity management chemistries and their applications
â¢Â          Basic understanding of corrosion, scaling, emulsion and foaming mechanisms
â¢Â          Knowledge of ASME B31.3, API 14C and Subpart H, ASME BPV Code Section VIII, API 520 and 521 and API 2000
â¢Â          Basic knowledge of project management, cost estimation and value added economic evaluations
Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licences/Certifications :
â¢Â          Proficiency in process software (PVTSim, UniSim/HYSYS, PipeSim)
Skills & Competencies:
â¢Â          Data analysis and regression techniques
â¢Â          Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques
â¢Â          MS Office applications
â¢Â          Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
