Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist role at ISN supports the organization as a whole and is an important member of our accounting operations team. They work collaboratively with ISN team members across various departments as well as with vendors and suppliers to review, verify, process, and record invoices for goods and services. The person in this role will call on their verbal and written communication skills to draft and respond to email and telephone inquiries regarding billings and payments. They will also use close attention to detail, data review, and critical thinking skills to research and resolve discrepancies. This role is integral in ensuring ISN meets our mission of being a valued partner to our customers and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

* Perform 3-way matching, and where exceptions occur, proactively communicate with the business/suppliers to ensure a swift resolution for all parties and ensure that an audit trail is retained
* Properly code AP transactions to correct ledger accounts
* Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in billings and payments
* Reconcile vendor statements monthly to ensure all invoices have been received and entered into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning system)
* Provide excellent customer service to vendors and suppliers as well as to internal customers/team members
* Perform daily duties in accordance with company policies and controls

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum formal education required: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

* Prior experience in an administrative or customer-facing support role
* 0 - 2 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment is preferred
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required, proficiency with data queries, sorting, filtering is preferred
* Experience with Power BI and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as MasterPack, preferred
