Essential Duties:

* Provide support to School Nutrition Program (SNP) Benefit Issuance (Free & Reduced) area of compliance and operations to ensure that Federal, State and Local standards are being met.
* Monitor adherence of nutrition programs to federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning free and reduced meal policy.
* Manage the Official Meal Price Policy statement and send all required information to the state.
* Manage the input of collection and service procedures in the School Application Module (SAM). Manage the Meal Accountability Procedure as reported.
* Coordinate the revision, printing, and distribution of the meal benefits applications. Monitor the notification letter process and oversee the audit of applications.
* Assist and train personnel employed for the purpose of processing free and reduced meal applications.
* Oversee the application processor schedules as dictated by the workload.
* Oversee the verification process.
* Annually update eligibility standards into the free and reduced software.
* Revise and oversee the notification of determination letters.
* Oversee the direct certification procedure for students into the program. Utilize statewide lookup software for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid eligibility.
* Manage and monitor homeless and migrant student procedures.
* Provide free and reduced data to other departments and personnel as requested.
* Monitor Civil Rights Procedures.
* Oversee state FRL001 reporting to provide official October data.
* Oversee availability of program information for kindergarten round-up and coordinate entering grace period for school start up.
* Oversee the distribution of PeachCare for Kids health insurance information to all schools.
* Update and maintain the frequently asked free and reduced questions on the SNP website.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE) required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills; ability to organize and conduct effective training activities.
* Ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and problem solve; ability to utilize the knowledge of the School Nutrition Program (SNP) Department policies and procedures to recommend program changes.
* Ability to maintain records with high degree of accuracy; ability to analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Proficiency in computer applications skills including Infinite Campus and Microsoft Office.
* Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
* Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
* Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
* Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
* Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
* Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
* Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
