Duties:
- The practice of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse is defined as performing tasks
- responsibilities within the Product of supportive & restorative care; medication administration and
- specialized tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse of licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or dentist.
- A.Completion of educational program for licensure as a LPN.
- B.Successful completion of required New York State Department of
- Health LPN IV Therapy Initial Program for the demonstration of
- competence in the performance of intravenous therapy/blood
- administration procedures as part of Centralized Orientation.
- C. Successful completion of annual unit-based review & update program in
- procedures associated with intravenous therapy.
- Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)
