Overview

Guide and direct preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the mill.

Responsibilities

* Demonstrate the highest standard of core safety values and beliefs.
* Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment.
* Operate and repair mobile equipment.
* Rebuild mills stands.
* Assist electricians with troubleshooting electrical equipment.
* Maintain non-contact and process water systems.
* Assist with warehouse inventory.
* Provide shift support and leadership, help plan and organize down days.
* Maintain conveyors and packaging line.
* Welding and fabrication.
* Operate overhead cranes.
* Assist with creation and editing of SOPs, JSAs, and Lock Out Procedures.
* Mentor junior employees.
* Assist with production as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must possess a well-defined sense of hazard awareness and recognition.
* Substantial knowledge of LOTOTO, Confined Spaces, Mobile Equipment, Crane, Fall Protection, and Machine Guarding safety.
* 3-5 years maintenance experience.
* Must be able to read electrical / mechanical drawings.
* PLC and drive experience a plus.
* Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and a desire to problem solve.
* Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
* Possess a self-starter quality for seeking input and details from resources.
* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
* Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
* Must have good math skills, as well as good oral communication skills.
* Must be able to lift 75 pounds and possess a willingness to work in cold/hot outside conditions as well as hot inside conditions.
* Formal technical education (preferred).
