Provide academic support and success coaching mentorship to fellow students in using learning technologies to enhance their learning experience and academic success in individual and group settings.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher or demonstrated experience using technologies
* Understanding of LBCC academic technology recommended by course instructors or an advanced understanding of how similar technologies work (e.g., learning management systems and video conferencing platforms).
* Well-developed interpersonal communication skills.
* Advanced computer and word processing skills.
* Ability to independently perform assigned responsibilities.
* Willingness to attend training to enhance skills.
* The ability to communicate information and ideas, so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
* Work is performed in an office setting.
Essential Duties:
* Assist and mentor students in understanding and utilizing various educational technologies.
* Create a supportive learning environment to help students identify and build on their technology knowledge.
* Direct students to online resources and effectively demonstrate how to utilize them for self-help.
