We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Homeowner Assistance Processor. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing and administration of the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) program.

In this role, you will:
  • Review HAF files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilize processor checklist to review files and maintain detailed documentation within the application portal.
  • Correspond with applicants to obtain missing documentation.
  • Provide applicants with regular updates and follow up for missing documents or information.
  • Check application submittals for duplicate or repeat requests.
  • Field questions from applicants and potential applicants regarding policies, procedures, and eligibility.
  • Submit requests for vendor and servicer participation in the program.
  • Coordinate and resolve payment issues and inquiries with the Accounting and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Monitor and ensure uniformity and consistency in payment requests and payee information.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures governing federal assisted-housing programs.
  • Experience in budget management, federal grant administration, productivity monitoring, program training, and partner relations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify critical path barriers and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, studies, and correspondence.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
