About the Role

Oklahoma State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as a District Family Consumer Science Program Specialist. This role will play a critical part in coordinating FCS programming to county FCS educators and constituents, providing leadership and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director, Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service/Family and Consumer Sciences program leader to develop and implement a statewide FCS program that complements current programs at the state and district levels.
  • Collaborate with county, district, and state staff to procure grant projects that contribute to individual and coordinated county extension programs.
  • Develop and implement staff development programs in organizational development and management, needs assessment, and program development in Family and Consumer Sciences.
  • Identify and develop new program ideas and inspire others to more effective, creative performance.
  • Lead and collaborate with county, district, and state staff to increase awareness of family and consumer sciences by maintaining contacts with professional organizations and family service agencies and organizations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Family and Consumer Sciences, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
