Job Description
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completing Screening forms, Intake Forms, Databases, Contact/Progress Notes, Referral/Disposition Summaries, and other necessary paperwork.
- Performs walk in and crisis screenings and intake evaluations Participates in referral activities for individuals served by the Mobile Crisis Unit.
- Participates in multidisciplinary treatment management team, attending Staff and Team Meetings, etc.
- Serves as a consultant to multidisciplinary treatment team regarding psychological assessment, performs psychological, neuropsychological, and/or psycho-educational evaluations as needed.
- Perform Mental Status Examinations.
- Supervises the clinical work of Psychology trainees, as assigned.
- Participates in in service activities such as Patient Care Monitoring Conferences, Psychology Staff Meetings/In Services, and/or other departmental training activities.
- Performs related duties such as quality assurance activities, representation as administrative meetings, etc., as assigned by the Director of Psychological Services and/or the Director of Adult Outpatient Services.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program, accepted by the NYSED.
2. Valid limited permit to practice as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
3. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED must be obtained within two (2) years of appointment to title.
