Job Description
Tour 2: (9am - 5pm)
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Comprehensive Psychological and Psychosocial Assessment
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Psychological Assessment of adults referred to the CHAT Program services.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs evaluations and initial assessments of adults referred to the CHAT Program
• Performs Mental Status Examinations.
• Assists with referral activities for individuals not accepted to the CHAT Program for services, advocacy activities for assigned outpatients.
• Collaborates with psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, and psychiatric social workers regarding the diagnoses, prognoses, and recommendations for treatment of individual cases.
• Participates in outreach activities of assigned outpatients or previously identified cases.
• Participates in in-service activities such as Patient Care Monitoring Conferences, Psychology Staff Meetings/In Services, and other departmental training activities.
• Performs duties related to quality assurance activities, representation at administrative meeting etc. as assigned by the Director of Psychological Services.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED; and
2. Two (2) years of post-licensure experience, one (1) year of which must have been post-licensure supervisory experience; or three (3) years of post-licensure experience; and
3. Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three (3) months of appointment
