Pay starting at $22.00/hr. Experienced candidates may be eligible to start at higher pay. Pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.

Interstate Sand and Gravel is a surface limestone mine/quarry currently seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator for our Interstate Sand and Gravel operation located in Williamsport, IN. This position offers a union environment with excellent pay, pension, and benefits.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

* Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, haul truck, dragline excavator, and general work around the quarry operation
* Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
* Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
* Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
* Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
* Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Minimum two years' experience operating dragline and/or loader, excavator is preferred.
* General mechanical knowledge
* Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
* Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision.
* Previous experience working in mining environment preferred.
* Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays.
* Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
