Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of our aluminum rolling mill, ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining a high level of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate rolling mill equipment in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs, to keep machinery running smoothly.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficient operation and product quality.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a mill operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal industry.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform conversions to decimals or other forms of measurement.
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Work Environment:

The Mill Operator will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, and mobile equipment.
