Position Summary Position Summary Three, 12 hour shifts each week from 7pm - 7am The Mental Health Tech performs general nursing care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities Experience • Two (2) years' experience as Mental Health Technician, Psychology Technician, Psychiatric Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, Registered Behavioral Health Technician, Behavioral Health Specialist, Direct Support Personnel, Group Home Assistant/Paraprofessional, Correctional Officers, EMT's, Paramedics, Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Home Health Aides, Patient Care Assistants, Certified Medical Assistants, Nursing Assistant, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Certified Nursing Assistant or Corpsman is required. • Associate's degree in psychology, education, child development or a healthcare-related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience. Qualifications Education/Training High school diploma or equivalent is required. Licensure/Certification • Maintains current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. • Must obtain and maintain current Handle with Care (HWC) Certification within 90 days of hire
