Job Responsibilities

* Coordinate the College's student conduct process; collaborate with other college officials to investigate, adjudicate student conduct cases; and facilitate educational and restorative conversations with students regarding alleged Student Code of Conduct behavioral violations. • Respond to student conduct record requests from institutions of higher education that relate to the student transfer processes.
* Maintain concise and accurate records of student contact, meetings, and interactions & oversee the management of Guardian, our student conduct and case management software
* Design and implement professional development opportunities for the SCC campus community related to de-escalation, conflict resolution, and other student behavioral management needs.
* Serve on the CARES Team, SCC's Behavioral Intervention Team and assist the Dean of Student Engagement/CSSO with the development and implementation of effective systems and processes to enable student-centered, equity driven approaches to support and encourage persistence, completion, and overall student success.
* Manage the Student Complaint process for the college, and primarily serve as the representative in identifying resolutions for students for the Student Engagement area.
* Serve as a Title IX investigator, as needed, and participate in trainings regarding the Title IX investigative processes; and assist the Title IX Coordinator with compliance processes, including record-keeping, investigator training and prevention programming.
* Collaborate with Campus Safety on completing SCC's Annual Clery Report and with the Dean of Student Engagement and other campus partners to maintain current and accurate information on the college website pertaining to compliance information, including but not limited to: Student Handbook, Student Complaints, Title IX/VAWA, and Right-to-Know, etc.,
* Provide student notifications each semester on Student Code of Conduct, CARE Team referral process, and VAWA.
* Maintain college membership in the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum and Additional Requirements

* Master's degree in counseling, student development/personnel/affairs, higher education, or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in any student services area.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree.

* Experience must demonstrate progressive responsibility in higher education student affairs or related field.
* Experience in crisis and case management.
* Demonstrated skill in managing difficult situations involving students, parents, staff, faculty, and community members.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
