Position Summary:

Orbital Therapeutics is currently seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, collaborative and creative individual with experience in immunology, looking to join an outstanding research team dedicated to designing and executing studies using a new generation of RNA medicines. This individual will enjoy working in a pioneering, fast-paced, and collaborative start-up environment with the opportunity to coordinate studies focused on vaccines and immunomodulation, while also exploring core immunological aspects of Orbital's RNA technology.

Responsibilities:

* Work both independently and as part of a team to design, plan and execute experiments that evaluate and characterize key immunological readouts.
* Effectively execute experiments evaluating both in vitro and ex vivo immune readouts, using ELISA, flow cytometry, and other related techniques.
* Develop and troubleshoot novel cell-based assays.
* Support projects in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of scientists.
* Demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communications skills.
* Effectively plan and organize work activities to meet timelines.
* Communicate data findings to the scientific team and key stakeholders within the company.
* Crosstrain fellow researchers in lab-based activities.

Qualifications:

* B.S./M.S. with 4+ years or Ph.D. with 0-1 years of experience in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
* Extensive tissue culture experience, including cell-line maintenance and primary cell handling.
* Extensive expertise in ELISA (or similar assays), flow cytometry and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques.
* Experience processing tissue samples from in vivo studies preferred.
* Experience with ELISpot and Luminex platform is a plus.
* Prior experience with direct reports is a plus.
* Possess excellent organizational skills and "can-do" attitude.
* Execution focused, team-oriented, and highly motivated with strong written and oral presentation skills.
