The Finance Coordinator oversees the campus team members responsible for the finance program for students in accordance with federal guidelines. Responsible for directing daily operations of campus team, ensuring that service levels, training, development, and compliance meet company and regulatory standards. This position works under the direction of the Regional Financial Services Manager and the direct supervision of the Campus Director.

Our Finance Coordinators (Supervisors) assist students in preparing and packaging their grant and/or loan applications to award funds by federal guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Coach and develop a student-centered finance team into top performers; train, mentor, and build campus team.
* Analyze the campus financial services dashboard to monitor the timeliness and accuracy of student financing that will foster increased productivity and premier customer service.
* Evaluate team and process effectiveness, ensuring attention to improvements, maintenance, and efficiency.
* Collaborate and coordinate with functional corporate roles on operational efficiency and team effectiveness through innovation, creativity, and intelligent use of data.
* Remain current on Title IV, state, accreditation, agency, veteran regulations, and institutional policy.
* Ensure the financial service team complies with all federal, state, accreditation, and institutional guidelines/regulations.
* Collaborate with the Admissions team to develop or refine students' transition between the groups to ensure a seamless student experience and best-in-class customer service.
* Works closely with all campus functional areas, especially the Student Services team and Academic Program Directors, to provide students support and a positive student experience.
* Advises greater campus leadership team on possible financial aid implications from proposed changes/updates to academic/instructional configurations.
* Coordinate visits with corporate functional roles or auditors to review student records.
* Assists team members with any component of the student financial services workflow.
* Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's degree in related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts, or Social Sciences discipline from a regional or national accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). Bachelor's degree preferred
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers
* Two to five (2-5) years of experience in finance or banking
* Must be able to maintain access to Department of Education (DOE) systems
* Two+ years of supervisory experience
* Experience providing outstanding customer service by fostering trust and growing customer satisfaction
* Ten-key calculator skills
* Solid computer and multi-tasking skills
* Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.
